Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at Age 60.

US performer Pat Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away aged 60.

The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his relatives said in a message.

They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

A Prolific TV Career

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the titular character's brother.

He subsequently landed a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.

He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of popular shows, including:

  • "King of Queens"
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

He was most recognized for portraying the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.

His work in movies encompass It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

He was part of a six-person improv troupe named "Beer Shark Mice".

"He coached, befriended and mentored many learners throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.

In a tribute, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he posted publicly.

Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his three kids, and his family.
