Performer Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Position After Voicing Contentious Covid Feature

Liam Neeson has provided his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccinations and praises one-time health official RFK Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was linked to a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, the executive producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone media personality the Infowars host. The producer wrote online praising Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

A Firm Statement

The team of the actor have issued a response strongly denying claims that he holds anti-immunization beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with being against vaccines," the comment states. "Neeson has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His long work with the UN children's agency reinforces his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It noted that the star did not shape the project's messaging and that concerns about its assertions ought to go to the creators.

Major Themes In the Documentary

According to the documentary, the voiceover spoken by Neeson features several strong claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "science has become highly politicised."
  • RFK Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • It also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Context and Recent Issues

The documentary also references a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the subject of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr called on the Centers for Disease Control to change its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the film, even with a recent study from the WHO stating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Differing from the film's message, Neeson has in the past shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's narration stating, "This marks not the finish of our story. Rather, it is the beginning of a new chapter."
