Nearly 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland were left without power on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the region, producing powerful gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Massive Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Locals observed large ice chunks measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was predicted as the wettest day, with continued storm activity predicted across various areas of both regions.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
